Urbaner Holzbau IV: Weiterbauen

The design studio "Weiterbauen" is part of the Bioregional Assembly in the Salzkammergut, which is developing a network of resources to strengthen local ecological, economic and social systems. From March to September 2024, design research projects will be carried out in collaboration with regional institutions. Between July and September 2024, the research results and prototypes will be exhibited in the former greenhouse of the KunstQuartier Gmunden. The studio focuses on adapting this greenhouse, which serves as a workshop and exhibition space. Strategic additions were jointly developed and built to make the space usable for public events and exhibitions. The aim was to create a starting point for the development of an infrastructure that would enable further cultural enterprises in the long term.
