„Montforter Zwischentöne“ is more than music. It is a festival that regularly draws attention to Vorarlberg's diversity in architecture and design. This is also the case with their pop-up stage, which was developed in close cooperation with the exhibition POTENTIALe. How to turn a room, that obviously used to be a church and still contains about 60 pews, into a modern stage room?
The idea was to use the existing elements of the chapel for a completely new interpretation of the space. Pews become sculptural stages, exhibition furniture and even bar counters. Three thematically separated zones make it possible to experience the room in a different way. The whole construction was made of the existing pews connected with straps. Like this, the room could be transformed very quickly and at the same time dismantling without permanent changes.
