The house designed as a main residence for a Viennese couple perfectly complies with building regulations. Due to the gentle slope, the ground floor can also be used as a fully exposed storey. The open living space extends over 5 levels through the entire height of the building. The staircase, which is semi-open through a solid wood palisade wall, also works as a library, with solid silver fir steps as seatings. The upper floors are built as prefabricated timber frames with solid wood ceilings in low energy standard. Walls and ceilings are perfectly handcrafted with knot-free silver fir. Room heights of over 4 meters and large windows produce a certain generosity and allow a view past the old cherry tree over the entire city of Vienna.
