Cemetery Hörbranz

On an elongated plot on the edge of Hörbranz's existing cemetery 24 urn steles got realised. The 2.8 m high lava stone steles are arranged on the strip in such a way that does not allow an overlap of the oratories placed contemplatively in front of the graves. The stone was used in its original form - as a solidified earth. Through the generous intermediate areas with benches, the construction invites to wander through and linger. The steles constructed in a self-bearing modular structure consist of only three different elements and two materials.
