The two-storey timber construction lies directly above a yard with a covered entrance area. The vertical white fir facade serves as a filter and directs selected views carefully to the outer coverings. The narrow, slightly angled ground plan follows the course of the street while turning the garden side slightly towards south. The floor plan evolves around a central staircase with an adjoining infrastructure block, which includes kitchen, bathrooms and storage space. The energy concept is based on the passive house standard. The small amount of residual energy for hot water and heating is provided by district heating from the neighbor's heat pump. A controlled, central ventilation system ensures op-timal air quality and low heat loss.
