Rekawinkel
In the western part of the municipality of Pressbaum, in Rekawinkel, there is a plot of land with a special geometry. It has a slight slope and is intended for the construction of a detached house. The house was designed to harmonise with the special geometry of the plot. The façades to the north and east facing the street were deliberately designed to be closed to ensure sufficient privacy. The two-storey house opens down the slope towards the garden. This offers a beautiful view and a natural retreat.
The building is accessed via the entrance area to the north, which is protected by wooden slats. The ground floor houses a spacious eat-in kitchen and a small office. Access to the terrace is possible via both the office and the eat-in kitchen. This floor also has a room with its own bathroom.
The bedrooms are located on the upper floor and face south-west. There is also another bathroom that faces north-west. A gallery to the south connects the ground floor with the upper floor and provides a link between the eat-in kitchen and the upper floor. The loggia is accessible from the gallery and all bedrooms and provides additional privacy thanks to the wooden slats.
The ceilings and walls of the project are constructed from glue-free timber elements. By using this system, additional foils can also be largely dispensed with. A roof-integrated PV system and a heat pump round off the ecological concept of the building project.
