Straw Workshop Murstetten

We spent two days on the construction site in Murstetten and lent a hand ourselves.

After a short introduction about the building material and the construction method with straw, we could start. First, the straw bales were pressed into the construction. Afterwards, cavities were filled and compacted. The finished filled walls were "shaved" using hedge shears and small holes were plugged. Now the insulated walls are ready to be covered with wood.

This instructive workshop has enthused us and not only convinced us of building with straw.
